Pondicherry

                                              The Little France

Pondicherry is the capital and chief city of the Union Territory of Puducherry. It is also known as little France, It was taken under control in 1674 by the French East India Company set up a trading centre at Pondicherry and this outpost eventually became the chief French settlement in India.

Pondicherry is a tourist destination in South India. Several visitors around the world have visited this city. The city have a number of old and large churches, heritage buildings and monuments.
